Keg draught at the brewery taproom, Wandsworth. As 'Surfin Byrd'. Pretty sure it is the same beer. Dark gold, mostly clear with a small off-white head. Resinous aroma, lots of malt, tangerine and persimmon, light spice. Sweet taste with a little bit of bitterness at the end. It's good but not as good as the aroma suggests it will be. Light to medium.bodyand carbonation. A competent IPA that starts well and fizzles out a bit.

Keg draught at the brewery tap, Wandsworth. Mid- to dark gold and hazy with a small smattering of off-white head. Malty aroma, some light citrus notes, a bit of pine. Taste takes me back. It's 'generic APA circa 2014' with a bit of piney bitterness riding the wave of grapefruit and tangerine. I mean that as a compliment, it's a great taste. Light body with carbonation on the heavy side. It's not original at all but it's very well-made.

Bottle split at L6 tasting, thanks to Danny, 02/03/23. Golden blonde topped with a white head. Nose is citric sherbets, grass, straw, pale malts. Taste comprises light breads, grass, tangerine, airy malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with modest hop bitterness. Waste of cals tbh.

Bottle split at the last minute CBJ Tasting (big thanks Marcin for hosting), cheers to Leighton for this one, 13/07/23. Chestnut brown with a decent beige head. Nose is earthy dried fruits, toffee, dates, toasted brown sugars. Taste comprises umami, dates, figs, light oxidisation, fruit cake. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so ... sat on too long and getting a little knackered!
