Description
Opened December 2005 based on Kinsons Farm, Whitebrook, Monmouth. Moved towards the end of 2007 to their current address.

Kingstone Brewery is a four barrel micro brewery located in Tintern, in the heart of the Wye Valley. Our real ales are adapted from traditional recipes to suit modern pallets. From hearty IPA’s to quaffable bitters and golden hoppy ales. We offer a beer for every occasion.

We here at Kingstone are unwilling to compromise on the traditional brewing process, therefore we choose to hand brew, and hand bottle our ales using traditional ingredients. Our beers are unfiltered, unpasteurised and bottle conditioned to develop a fuller flavour, finer bubble and more subtle texture!

Bottle from Andrewc and drunk at home. I do like a classic British brown best bitter. The question is, is this one of those? Looks good, chestnut colour and thick beige head. Well it's pretty good. It has a nutty maltiness that is very pleasing with light raisin. Light ale yeast aroma character. Then a lovely bit of malt. Rich and plum accented and raisin and sultana. Then a little nettle bitter hop on the finish. Loved it. A classic best bitter.
