Cask-conditioned on gravity, the Lansdown, Bristol 12/9/2015. Amber in colour, with a thin, off-white, head. Dense, cereal malts, some hedgerow fruits and a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Cask @ White Lion, Heptonstall. Clear glowing copper with a small head. Has a light grainy-malt aroma and taste with a hint of chocolate in the latter.

Cask. Amber colour with a small white head. Aroma is toffee, caramel, some mild bread as well as some floral and grassy notes. Flavour is similar, but also has some ripe fruits, wood and some slight alcohol sweetness to it as well.

Cask gravity at the Watford beer fest 2014. Golden coloured pour with a lasting white head. Aroma is plastic, grainy, wet grass hop. Flavour is more wet grass and silage with some sweet grains. Palate is medium sweet moderate carbonation.

500ml bottle shared with blackhaddock on a train replacement bus to the first Midlands Tasting. Pours hazy brown with a surprisingly flavoursome mix of vivid malts and plump dark fruits. Some nice coffee cake and chocolate emerging with subsequent sips. Very nice indeed.

500ml Bottle conditioned: BBD 23 Oct 2014. Shared with minutemat on a bus, 24 Aug 2014, cheers Mat. Pours red to dark brown with a a slight haze to Mat’s half of the bottle, my half was clear. I really enjoyed it, the aroma was a mix of malty esters, bread, biscuits and chocolate being the main smells I got. There was also a mild old and smoked feel to the whole beer, more so in the taste than the nose though. Coffee hints arrived as the beer warmed in the glass and I thought the beer was interesting and tasty.
