Bottle at C&R Pre-GBBF Tasting 2017. It pours cloudy orange with a medium white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, tangy, sugary, orange marmalade and toasted grain. The taste is crisp, dry, orange marmalade, earthy, wood, toasted grain, cereal, tannin, leather, wood, flint and some earl grey tea. Medium body and fine carbonation. Some interesting elements to it, although I am not sure they all come together harmoniously.

The great pre GBBF bottleshare at ChrisO’s. Hazy deep amber beer, big cream colour head. Palate is airy, semi dry and has good fine carbonation. Smooth malts, a little sweetish cream and a touch of caramel. Modest ripe fruits. A little savoury vibe from the tea. Smooth dry finish. Quite sweet overall but drinkable.
