Description

Bottle, from trade with Papsoe. It pours a clear, ruby color and a finger-thick off-white to light beige head. Smoked nose, evident hops, those two sort of clashing together leaving an impression of sour milk. Not that sour milk is the dominant aroma, there’s just something similar going on. Meaty, coffee-like notes in the back, slightly roasted. Not really sure if I’m fond of it. Well, I think I do. It’s quite fruity too, mostly on the dried fruits side. The flavor starts quite meaty and coffee-ish, followed by dried fruits, bitterness, fruityness and smoke. Some strange notes of over-ripe strawberries too. In a nice way that is. It’s full-bodied and nicely carbonated. Smoked, bitter and sweet finish. Overall, a nice one, indeed, blending a lot of different flavors in a nice way. Strange, complex, tasteful and more-ish. Definitely one I’d like to have again. 110218

Bottle, from trade with Papsoe. A hazy, golden-orange beer with a small, off-white head. White sugar, fruityness, hops, some lemon notes, a spicy touch and a little alchol in the aroma. Nice bitterness, both initially and in the end, as well as white sugar, fruityness, pale malts, lemon, spices and a little bit of alcohol. Full-bodied and maybe a bit too carbonated. Bitter finish with some pale malts and sugar in the back. A nice one, dry and quenching, warming and pleasant, but not world class. 110218

Cloudy red-brown beer with a thick foamy biscuit coloured head. Smooth creamy palate but actually starts with a prickly carbonated bite. Lots of smooth malt, slightly sweet and with a little chocolate. Turns a little sour and then some well integrated hop bitterness kicks in before a dry spicy finish. Complex and tasty.

Hazy amber beer, not much head. Immediate intense sour and bitter grapefruit rapidly followed by a very dry and bitter finish. This is too much like hard work.

Bottled@Tuulensuu, Tampere. Slighhtly hazy golden colour, small creamy white head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is fruits, some mild yeast, earth and mild dry sweet wooden and resiny notes. Flavour is mild spices, rather fruity and slightly yeasty.

Courtesy of bierkoning, thanks Edo! Dark hazy ruby color, small beige head. Aroma has rye and caramel. Caramel, toffee, some berries, strong smokeyness in the finish. Decent, but combination of flavors are not favourites of mine. Nice beer with smoked cheese anyway.
