Marzen with bugs, huh? - sure, what the hell - lightly hazy dark copper - very light aceto and lacto notes in the nose, along with lightly sweaty and musky brett funk - soft carbonation, medium body - quite dry and moderately acidic - complex but mellow combination of lactic qualities and dry, earthy brett overtones, along with some leather and estery quality - moderately spicy phenolic finish - nicely balanced and drinkable sour - pleasantly surprised by.how awesome this is.

Medium ruby pour - phew, this is one big beer - it really needs some age on it, as there is a lot of heat right now - however, there is already a nice, semi-dry sherry character to it, even though it is young - a lot of bright esters - moderate toffee/caramelized sugars - a lot of promise here - give this a year or so and you’ll have a nicely balanced barleywine on your hands.

This is a seriously dry and roasty brew - pours a dark ruby - frothy lace - aroma is dry, roasty, earthy - flavor is seriously dry and moderately bitter - also quite roasty - all of this without being overly bitter or astringent - pretty impressive, really - nice.

Tap at the brewery - lightly hazy gold - hey, an actually traditional alt made by a US brewery - flavor and aroma are malty and full, but also dry, crisp and grassy - dry toasted grains, light esters, light mineral, grassy hop character - finish is fruity and lightly bitter - few american brewers do alts this well.

Tap at the brewery - clear amber pour - nose of toffee, roasted nuts, light melanoidin character, a touch of metallic character - low carbonation - fairly creamy texture - mildly acidic to start - medium sweet caramelized sugars are followed by light nuttiness, toasted grain, light metallic notes, light esters - finish is medium dry and moderately bitter - a little sharper/rougher than a bock should be, but not bad.
