Can. Hazy pale golden body with a medium sized white head. Aroma is refreshing fruity, citric, tropical with a hint of lemon. Flavor is quite light and refreshing with fruits like aroma, moderate bitterness and dry finish. Nice and easy, not to keen on the style, but sampling about ten of them now this is a decent version.

Can from Gulating. Unclear pale golden body with a nice, dense white head. Aroma has malt and fruity yeast. Flavor is refreshing fruity with citric fruit and oranges together with medium sweet malt and some bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste where the kveik is a bit more pronounced. Very nice for a blond, but this is sure more like a crossover from several styles.

Can. Dark amber, almost black body with a beige head. Aroma of dark malt, caramel and chocolate malt. Medium sweet, mild roasted dark malt, caramel, dry fruit, mild, dark chocolate and decent bitterness. Not very typical brown ale, more like a porter and not much chocolate flavor and not hot in any way that might be the idea. Still a drinkable session porter.

Sampling all four cans simultaneously at home without sharing or any other kind of disturbances. Hazy yellow/golden body with fine white head. One of my favorite hops, but not quite optimal in this beer. Fruity like peach, mango, some ripe fruit but not as fresh as the Citra and Mosaic version. Somewhere in between the best and the weakest version. Fruity, juicy, refreshing but ending up rather one-dimensional and too sweet. It was a pretty tough job to drink so much NEIPA as this at one evening. It’s definitively time for a real beer with real beer flavors now.

Sampling all four cans simultaneously at home without sharing or any other kind of disturbances. Hazy yellow/golden body with a bigger white head than the Citra version. Aroma and flavor is on the juicy side, but less intense and less distinct than Citra and more citric in general. Normally I like this hop, but don’t think it made a god impression as a single hop NEIPA, at lest not in this brew.

Sampling all four cans simultaneously at home without sharing or any other kind of disturbances. Hazy yellow/golden body with fine white head. Aroma mostly juicy and fruity but feels more balanced than the other versions. A bit in the direction of apricot and tropical juice. Flavor same as aroma, but also this feels more balanced and gives an impression of more real bitterness. Medium body and a bit zesty bitterness in the aftertaste. My favorite.

Sampling all four cans simultaneously at home without sharing or any other kind of disturbances. Hazy yellow/golden body with a moderate sized white head. Strong fruity aroma, grapefruit and mango. Taste is fruity and juicy like aroma, mostly juice, not much malt or bitterness. Medium body and refreshing fruity aftertaste. Decent and refreshing, but rather one-dimensional and ending up feeling a bit too sweet.

Can. Slightly hazy golden body with a dense white head. Aroma of citric fruit and grapefruit. Flavor is nice and easy, light, refreshing fruity, citric, grapefruit and a little hint of sour berries. Medium body and some fruity bitterness in aftertaste. Nothing new to this world, but sure a refreshing one.

On tap @ Mungåt, Egersund. Almost black body with a big, dense off-white head. Nice aroma of dark malt, dark chocolate and coffee. Flavor is medium roasted, dark malt, dark chocolate, coffee, dry fruit and god bitterness. Fine balanced body, balanced in flavors and long lasting, pleasant aftertaste. Very nice, this makes brown ale – actually the hope for real beers, great again.

Can. Pitch black body with a huge, creamy beige head. Aroma has dark malt, chocolate and coffee. Flavor is sweet with dark, roasted malt, some dry fruit, coffee and chocolate. Medium bitterness. Fine body and long aftertaste. Surprisingly much coffee in flavor considering this is not the coffee version, had to check the can one more time. Decent dry stout.
