Can. Black body with a medium sized, dense, lacing beige head. Aroma of dark malt and green pepper. Aroma has mild dark malt, green pepper, hint of vegetables and low bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste. A bit weak in flavor and easy on the chilly.

Bottle. A light gusher. Almost clear dark golden body with a huge, foamy off-white head. Aroma has mild malt and some toffee. Flavor is sweet malt, toffee and a bit undefined spicy. Straight forward, rather plain beer.

Bottle. Clear dark amber body with a big, frothy tan head. Weak in aroma, malt and slightly spicy with Christmas spices. Flavor is much the same, pretty discrete in flavors, malt, bread, some dry fruit and hint of Christmas spices, feels dry where the spices feels a bit like the powder version instead of fresh. Medium body and short in aftertaste. Drinkable but not very exiting.

Bottle @ Christianssand Brygghus. Unclear deep golden body with a small, diminishing white head. Aroma is refreshing, rather acidic citric fruity, mild funk, light malt. Flavor has a distinct acidic fruitiness, Brett, some cellar notes and not really very funky but I fine pleasant real Lambic flavor. Fine body and long lasting acidic aftertaste. Very nice indeed and actually impressive at only 4% ABV. Believe there is some cellar potential here as well.

Can from Gulating. Hazy pale golden body with a fine white head. Aroma has lots of refreshing citric fruit, grapefruit and some lemon. Flavor is light, pale malt, fruity hops like aroma and decent bitterness. Not particular sweet but have some malty balance. Medium to light bodied and refreshing aftertaste in the same direction. Very nice thirst quencher.

Tap @ Patricks, Kristiansand. Pitch black body with a fine, dense, lacing beige head. Aroma has roasted dark malt, dark chocolate and coffee. Flavor is medium sweet, dark roasted malt, coffee and a bit slightly sour, harsh bitterness (coffee bitter?). Nice body and long lasting smooth malty aftertaste with a bit harsh bitterness. Nice one, but I don’t think the coffee brings much to this beer.

Can from Meny. Almost clear reddish orange body with a nice, pale pink head that fades rather quickly. Aroma has distinct minerals, feels mild acidic, berries in general and some yogurt. Flavor is pleasant acidic, quite fresh, lactic, some salt, nice impression of berries but I’m unsure if I really can taste the blueberries or just got it from reading the label. Medium to thin bodied (that feels perfect) and pleasant quite refreshing aftertaste. This is a fine basic Gose with my kind of fruity taste touch, not too much and leaving room for the original beer flavor. Nice one.

Bottle, courtesy of Cunningham. #213/264. A black one, or dark, dark brown, with a dense, finger-thick dark beige head. Lacing. The aroma has a pleasant touch of the booze, with roasted malts, dark dried fruit and some dark chocolate. Hints of oak and raisin. Brown sugar. It's full-bodied and softly carbonated, with a pleasant blend of sweetness and bitterness. Mostly sweetness though. Roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, dark dried fruit and a touch of brown sugar and a spiced hint. Gentle but pleasant boozyness. Lasting finish. A pleasant one indeed, and it has sure aged well too. 240717
