Draught @ Malt & Mold (11/14/18) Inky black with small tan head, mocha aroma, low carbonation, medium bitter mocha taste with fruity flavor, smooth body, long finish. Very smooth and easy to drink despite the alcohol content.

Super hazy golden coloured body with a ridiculously large pure white head that leaves a very ugly lace on the side of the glass, about six centimetres tall - but not very pretty. Aroma of pure grass, hay, resin, earth, pineapple, wheat, grain and a hint of lemon zest - quite strong throughout and very herbal. Light grassy flavours at first with some grapefruity hops, a dose of lemon and resin with a touch of coriander seed freshness and some yeast towards the end, but this is all about the fresh grassy and herbal notes with little in terms of balance or sugars. Aftertaste is very dry of course, with little else - perhaps a dose of resin and earthy flavours with more of a malt and lager finish with the yeast almost front and centre at the very end. Overall, a pretty dry and subdued beer with some nice flavours, a good and smooth complexity, especially for a lager, plus the look is fantastic - minus the ugly head. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can purchased from Whole Foods in New York (TriBeCa), New York on 13-August-2018 for US$4,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 12-November-2018.

The Well, Brooklyn tap: pours hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is sort of fruity, floral... taste is dry. Low bitterness. Smooth body. Low sweetness. Tastes more or less like what I expect from this nascent style.

Rbabarrab, Copenhagen. Keg. Almost clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth and semi dry palate, decent fine carbonation. Dry malts, sweetish. Floral mid. Tangy citrus, tangy orange. It's okay but there are many other lagers I would prefer to drink.

Rbabarrab, Copenhagen. Keg. Clear deep red - amber beer, small pale tan head. Airy palate, semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Dry malts, trace of dry cream. Tangy bitterish fruits. Bitterish tangy floralness. Dry finish. Manages to be both wishy washy and bitter!
