4/6/2022. Bottle at the Teterow GP beer share. From Wildgoose Fine Foods, Ipswich. Pours clear golden with amber tint and a frothy white head. Aroma is hoppy, grassy, malt, straw, bread, light herb and pine. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Moderate body, slightly oily, soft carbonation. Nice bitter finish. Decent.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - deep brown to black. Beige head which is quite proportionate. Nose - more of the smoky malts, molasses and liquorice than the suggested chocolate and coffee notes on the bottle. Taste - burnt toffee, molasses, coffee, tar and a hint of liquorice and herbs. Palate - medium bodied, roasty finish. Decent length. Overall - this should be in Foreign Stout category. I enjoyed it more than others by the looks of things.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - golde with a light haze. Decent head for a lager. Nose - lemon and sweetcorn. Light biscuit. Taste - lemon, biscuit and light hop spice. Palate - light bodied and good refreshment. Overall - good wee lager.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - deep golden amber. Light haze and big continental style head which fizzes steadily before reducing to something more proportionate. Nose - esters like banana, pineapple chunks and honey. Light breadiness. Taste - pineapple, banana, sweet spice, icing sugar all up front, but then the cleansing sweet but acidic tang of the Belgian yeast. Palate - medium bodied, tangy middle and tangy cleansing finish. Multi dimensional with a long persistent linger. Overall - one of the best Tripels from outside Belgium.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - cloudy golde brown. Big rocky white head. Nose - dishcloth, light dirty yeast note. Them a little of the expected banana and possibly nutmeg. Taste - banana and spice. Still a bit of dirty yeastiness. Palate - creamy texture and medium bodied. Balanced bitterness and good taper. Overall - didn't give it much hope after pour and nose, but it came through well.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - deep amber to brown with red chinks. Nose - brown bread, lightly tart red fruit bug at the same time, sweet dried peel. Taste - brown bread, even malt loaf and getting cakey. Dried peel, even light raisin. Overall - quite enjoyable. And it grew on me.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - golden and a bit lively. Still hazy to cloudy after all finally poured into the glass.. Nose - floral, dried fruit and wholemeal bread. Taste - muesli, dried orange, fresh lemon zest and green apple. Palate - light to medium bodied. Creamy in texture with balanced bitterness. Overall - good. It really grew on me, this one.

[50cl bottle from the Hillier Garden Centre, Sunningdale.] A slightly hazy chestnut coloured pour with a tight cream coloured head; aroma of yeast and caramel; quite lively in the mouth with a nutty taste and a touch of caramel, then some sourish fruit. A nicely balanced red ale.

500ml bottle; BBE Feb 2020. Poured into a Franziskaner Weissbier glass at home on 10th Nov 2019. Mini-haze to the golden body, thin white head. Spicy nose and taste, wheat aroma and flavours also. Light yeasty notes, but 'no banana', 'cloves' or 'German style Hefenwiezen leanings'. Liked it though!

500ml bottle; BBE May 2020. Poured into a 'La Chouffe' stemmed tulip glass (twice) at home in Nov 2019. Really enjoyed this, a bit lively at first, but once it settled down you could appreciate to finer points of it's make up. Misty amber body with some sediment, off-white head, huge initially. Belgian like yeasty aroma with a semi-sweetness from the malts bursting through in the flavour. One of the best non-Belgian Tripel's I have come across so far.
