We’re a sixth-generation family business which employs over 1,300 people, 140 at the brewery and site in Middleton Junction and over 1,100 in our 42 managed pubs, inns and hotels. We also let a further 105 pubs to our Pub Partners.
[June 2022] Clear pale gold with a bubbly white head and slightly fruity on the nose. Floral hops coming through in the flavour, some soft bitterness on top of the fizziness
Pretty disappointing. I get the Black Forest Gateau (quite clever) but it's so thin. Try again at about 5.5% and give us a full face rush of gorgeous cake!
Keg @ Gulliver's, Manchester. Golden in colour with a small head. Lower sourness sour allowing a lot of mild tasting exotic fruit through such as lime and mango. It's somewhat sugary too, accounting for its sugary-sweet taste.
Cask @ Barum Top Inn, Halifax. Golden with a creamy head. Malty aroma, but the vanilla really comes to the fore in its aftertaste, getting slightly sweet in taste, producing a fine cream ale flavour for the brew.
Cask @ Gulliver's, Manchester. Deep golden with a creamy head. In my opinion on its name no, but its by no means a bad brew and surprisingly its lime usurps the ginger in both aroma and taste.
