Maplewood’s patrons have come to expect expertly crafted beer in a wide range of styles.

Can, 0.473l. Aroma of citrus, flowers and resin. Pours clear golden color with thin creamy white head and soft visible carbonation. Taste starts juicy tropical and stone fruity, following is citrusy, slightly bready and herbal, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is average bitter. Medium body, oily texture and lively carbonation in palate. Charming the charlatans…

Amber colour with fluffy head. Lots of malty sweetness. Low bitterness but does have a nice dry finish.

Can (11/6/23) pour from Friar Tuck, Crestwood. Lightly hazy reddish dark brown with light sparkle, head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malt, molasses, spices and toffee. Taste is strong roasted malt, molasses, spice as it warms. Smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. Taste doesn't quite live up to aroma but good.

Not bad, if indistinguishable from half the other hazies on the market. Tropical and citrus notes on top of bubble gum, resin, and a touch of peach, with a firm pine-mineral bitterness on the finish. It’s fine.

Draught @ Beer Shop, Oak Park (Jan 2024). Hazy rich yellow with a small foamy off-white head, unripe mango-citrus aroma, low carbonation, mildly bitter citrus peel-unripe mango-pineapple taste, thin body, long unripe mango finish. Decent IIPA.
