Bottled (BB 09/2005)
Light copper/golden, good creamy head. Fruity - mango, apricot, leafy nose. Medium-bodied. A bit hard mouthfeel. Fruity - bock-like flavor. Sweetish, liquerish palate. Enjoyable. Hints of hops in the aftertaste.

(bottle) Clear and deep golden colour with a small white head. Dense floral hoppy nose with malts and biscuits. Solid Pilsener taste but not too impressive, proper rounded combination of malts and hops but nothing more.

Went to buy some Chimays and noticed this beer in a nice clay bottle, Quite expensive, I guess because of the bootle too. Not bad but I expected more. Fruity taste, golden amber color, very little wqhite heaad that vanishes quickly

(Bottle 75 cl) The label informs us, that the reason for naming this a "Mole beer" is not really known. But that it IS well known, that excessive drinking makes you blind as a mole.... Well, then you’ll have to down quite a few Mol-biers, as this is really rather harmless. Unusually (for a wit) this is brownish and hazy (like Dutch canal water....). But all the typical witbier characteristics are here, although I cannot for sure detect the exact spices - some citrus though. Very weak body, as would be expected. But very refined and complex flavour-pattern. Nice indeed. Thanks to Christine for bringing me this right from the source. 250797

(Bottle 30 cl) Fully golden, huge rather rough head. Sweetish and well-balanced with the hops. Do I sense some wheat? Decent but far from excellent. 160493 & 030305

Copper coloured beer with adequate coppergreen shine and rather heavy carbonation to cream-coloured good & dense head, with confluent bubbles, leaving some lace, rather stable. Sharp cookie malt nose, bit of dark candi sugar, bit grassy and wheataroma. Sharp taste of greenmalt, arachide, spiced cookies, bit of "wet dog" aroma and some oxydized and sulphury notes, timid esters. Green herbs and shrubbery. Warming up, very markedly alcohol and alcoholsweet. Sharp impression has a MF component too, burning. Medium to well bodied. Gradually earthy notes build up, remaining long in the aftertaste, mellowed by alcoholwarming. Tastes very young, too herbal/grassy. Little doubt that laying down would mellow it, the alcohol helping; but what of the now already oxydized hints?

Tap, ABT cafe in Den Bosch. Clear amber color, short off-white head. Aroma of some caramel malt, bit hoppy. Weak taste of caramel malt. If this is the beer to celebrate the 25th anniversary of PINT, it’s a lousy celebrator...

Red-amber color. Strong aroma: caramel, malt, alcohol, raisins; too much mature. A bit oily, alcoholic; poor malt, very strong caramel, nutty. Burning final. Unbalanced.

Very old sample, shame on me Thin layer of yellow-orange foam on light foxy-amber beer, fast gone. Caramel, sweet bread, toffee, biscuit & oxydized notes, ending vaguely sourish nose. Cookies, sweet, caramel, bit of sweet lemon (does that exist?), and very, very dull. Very light & empty mouthfeel. This is so dull, that even ageing has not changed the result for a dime.
