A dark orange beer with a beutiful white head. The aroma is spicy sweet with notes of citrus. THe flavor is also spicy with notes of melon and citrus before a dry hoppy and spicy end comes along.

Yellow-brown head, fast gone; very dark brown beer. Vinous nose, chocolate, dark malts and a bit of caramel, and then some sea-like smell - tar and iodium on the air. Initial sourish-bitter taste, becoming quickly sweet, with a bready flavour - like old dark bread left long in the mouth. Bit piney flavours, caramel and again some chocolate, bitter and sweet. Balance only settles after a certain time. Despite the heavy malt, a rather thinnish texture, with a velvety mouthimpression, covering light acidity. Almonds in the aftertaste. Not a bad beer, but the dark perfumed malts just overwhelm a bit too much. MF is neither of the best. Belgian strong ale? OK, but the brewery calls it barley wine (gerstewijn) on the label.

The first whif was nice, raisiny and port aroma, but then it settles into a less interresting sherrylike note. Pale red browm, head is quickly gone, low carbonation. Sweet malty base, alcoholic sherry notes on top, some nuts and marzipan. A bit too too much booze. Body is rather weak, oily mouthfeel, very slight almond aftertaste.

Dark-red tinted chestnut, clear; slim foxy-coloured head, dwindling. Malty nose, glue & solvent, bit of hazelnuts’ aroma, sweet. Taste malty again, but with an overpowering initial bitter almonds flavour - faawggh! - shortlived, however, as it gets then both thin and sweet. Somehow this tastes exactly as watered-down high-gravity beer. I detect some salinity as well. Quite heavily carbonated, watery texture, light. "Uitverkoren": preferred, elected, it says. They sure didn’t ask for my opinion... then again, I never tried the ’other one’.

A deep red beer with a fine brown head. The aroma is roasted. The flavor is very slightly sour on a sweet background, and the body is thin. An OK beer without being anything special.

Bottled. Golden colour, brief head. Sweetish with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Lightly grassy finish. Another industrial lager basically void of character, even if it is flawless.

Bottled. Clear ruby. Aroma of toffe and molasses. Fruity and fairly sweet. Medium bodied. Somewhat vinous. Salty finish.

Very clear, colour of old gold; yellowish tinted head. Grassy nose with markedly cocos/copra aroma. Unfortunately fast gone, leaving just a suspicion of orange and nothing else. Burnt/roasted taste, a tad harsh; aroma of citruszeste and candi sugar. Rather thinnish mouthfeel, burning sensation, but not alcohol. In the aftertaste, an earthy flavour comes up. A bit - well, quite - harsh. And most surprising, it has the character of a not-too-super tripel ale, rather than that of a Bock.

Clear light orange color, short frothy head. Aroma of malt, some mandarin, bit hoppy. Taste is sweet, some caramel malt, mandarin again. Bit sticky palate. This one is a good challenger for the Karakter.

An orange beer with a fine white head. The aroma is sweet perfumated and yeasty. The flavor is sweet with powerful notes of alcohol and lesser notes of spices. The alcohol is too powerful, which makes it too sweet and makes it burn the tongue in the end.
