Opaque garnet under light, but like a well-filled chamber pot when under shadow (mmmm...delicious imagery); aroma of pears, sorbitol candy; raspberries. Has a slightly acidic body, semi-sweet chocolate, fluffy maltiness, very candyish in the finish.

Golden colour. Fruity, malty aroma. Full bodied, rather clean, some raisin flavour. A bit one-dimensional.

Deep ruby. promising fruity, estery aroma. Malty and chocoaltey, hints of toffee, but the flavour is short.

I thought Dutch people knew English - where's the comments?? Bright gold, soft, flowery malts, faint alcohol in the middle, then it gets candyish and sweet. Definitely needs more hops, but I get the impression this brewery isn't huge on the divine flower.

Amber-colored, easy to drink. Bit sweet, bit bitter also. Fruity aroma indeed, apple is perhaps a good way to describe it. How do you get to such a description? :-)

Fruity hoppy aroma. Pale color. Taste is like a combination of a tripel with a pilsener. Herfstbocks are more my favorite i guess.

This HJ Tripel is one of the better tripels i know. It"s a typical tripel, but everything is perfect: taste and palate are extraordinary good!

A decent Double, but not very good in my opinion. The Tripel is much, much better, but Hertog Jan still makes fantastic beers, so dont be disappointed about my rating :-)
