(Bottle 30 cl) Beautiful, dark amber colour, slightly hazy with a small, off-white head. Malty, sherry-like nose. Almost vinuous - desert wine - with lots of caramel, roasted malt, candy sugar and perhaps also some dried fruit. More sweetness than bitterness in the palate. Lovely. 280705

Dark amber brown, good creamy brown head. Sweet, burnt sugar in the aroma. Liquerish, sweet, some roasty notes. Candi sugary "dunkel", quite light bodied.

Golden honey color, not much head. Metallic and sweetish aroma. Sweetish malty. Medium-bodied. Only faint hops in the finish though label says "extra pilsener". This is more like European strong lager.

Dark ruby, good brown head. A bit lemony, brown sugar in the aroma. Sweetish, sugary, liquerish palate. Not very strong and hides ABV completely. I heard that this is only available on tap at the brewery and at ’t Arendsnest in Amsterdam.

(bottle) Clear and deep golden colour with a small white head. Dense floral hoppy nose with malts and biscuits. Solid Pilsener taste but not too impressive, proper rounded combination of malts and hops but nothing more.

Went to buy some Chimays and noticed this beer in a nice clay bottle, Quite expensive, I guess because of the bootle too. Not bad but I expected more. Fruity taste, golden amber color, very little wqhite heaad that vanishes quickly

(Bottle 75 cl) The label informs us, that the reason for naming this a "Mole beer" is not really known. But that it IS well known, that excessive drinking makes you blind as a mole.... Well, then you’ll have to down quite a few Mol-biers, as this is really rather harmless. Unusually (for a wit) this is brownish and hazy (like Dutch canal water....). But all the typical witbier characteristics are here, although I cannot for sure detect the exact spices - some citrus though. Very weak body, as would be expected. But very refined and complex flavour-pattern. Nice indeed. Thanks to Christine for bringing me this right from the source. 250797

(Bottle 30 cl) Fully golden, huge rather rough head. Sweetish and well-balanced with the hops. Do I sense some wheat? Decent but far from excellent. 160493 & 030305
