Description
Green Valley Cyder is a beacon of craft cidermaking in the South West of England, dedicated to continuing the best traditions of cidermaking in the county of Devon. Green Valley Cyder is made only from freshly pressed Devon apples, slowly fermented using naturally present yeasts, in a county with near perfect conditions for apple-growing.
Just like wine, each vintage is slightly different but always the distinctive character and appley taste of REAL Devon comes through in the Green Valley Cyder range.

Polycask at Banbury Beer Festival, Oxon, 08-05-09 Pours hazy gold with rum evident straight away on the nose. There is a slight artificial taste about this, although good tangy apple flavours do rescue it considerably. It reminded me a little of Rum Baba and also some long forgotten sweets, its ok. 2.5l container, freshly filled, straight from the barrel. Golden colour, sour-fruity nose. Apple, intensive sourness that reminds me of Flemish Sour Ales/Rodenbach.
