Bottle from Nisa Local, Upper Beeding. A lively one. Had to do some mopping up before I could start it. Aroma is smokey. Tar. Sweet dark fruit. Clear chestnut. Foamy translucent white head. The flava is less interesting than the aroma. Sour bitter smoke and sour berries. But not particularly amped up. Develops marmalade fruit and spice. Light bodied. Thin. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Enjoyable without stretching its legs.

Bottle from Nisa Local, Upper Beeding. Aroma is vinous, sour yet sweet berries. Opaque amber. No head. So the brewery describes as dry hopped and it's been added on other sites as a Flanders Red. Flavawise it is indeed medium sout. Vinous and berries. An underlying earthy streak. I wonder if the brewery decided to go with dry hopped instead of a description that could scare off more conservative drinkers? Light-medium bodied. Slick. Flat carbonation. Long dry finish. A restrained polite take on a Belgian style... or as they call it Dry-,hopped Sussex Ale. But not convinced it's really the Flanders Red suggested elsewhere so went with Saison.

Bottle from Nisa Local, Upper Beeding. Aroma has nig citrus and resin. Clear amber gold. Thin translucent white head. Sour citrus and woody resinous bitterness. Juicy in there too. Light-medium bodied. Thin to slick. Flat-fizzy carbonation. Long dry rather astringent finish. ESB stomping all over IPA territory here. Certainly characterful.

Gravicask at The 14th Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival '22, Marquee Bar. Shared with Finn. Hazy amber body, fair lacing from a film-type layer. Subdued smell of honeyed fruits. Quite similar taste of honey and fruit, added by earthy malts. Bittersweet ending. Medium bodied. Quite alright. (Nottingham 13.10.2022).

Gravicask at The 14th Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival '22, Marquee Bar. Shared with Finn. Bubbles on the surface of a hazy amber body, patchy lacing. Moderate smell; mid-sweet malty nose, smoked, and ripe fruits. Malt-fruity flavours, dried fruits, earth, and slightly smoked malts. Rounded hop fruity ending, dry. Fair enough. (Nottingham 13.20.2022).
