Bottled. Hazy amber, small head. Sweaty and salty, dry and caramelly. Soem caramelly malt provides medium, body and clean mouthfeel. Hops contribute mostly to salty bitterness and very little to aroma.

Bottled. Hazy anber, minimal head. Dryish with clean mouthfeel. Soem caramelly malt, but feels quite thin and watery. Some resiny hops lead to a finish with average bitterness. Not much hops to hide it’s shortcomings in the malt department.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Myrup. Very cloudy brownish with an orange hue and a small, beige head. Fat aroma of hard roasted malt. Medium body, hard roasted - lightly burned - malt accents with a light, underlying sourish touch. Burned, bitter finish. 310807

As anticipated, there is too much carbonation and the foam keeps coming out of the bottle, while in the glass at the end there is only one fourth of the volume; it pours a dark brown color; the only-head reduces to a thin layer. The aroma is nice, mixing roated malts and smoke. The flavor is more difficult to accept, there is still the nice smoke touch, but the roasted malt is too dry and strong, and the final bitterness is too high. Harsh.

Nice aroma, cappuccino, creamy, with hidden hops. Medium body, good mix of caramel and dark chocolate flavor, even if here again the yeast makes it a bit dry. Strong bitterness. Quite good.
Bottle, 2007-08-31, 4-3-5-2-9=23
Cloudy dark brown color. The aroma is clearly yeasty. The body strength is medium, the flavor is based on the roasted malt, with some unpleasant sourness and too much yeast.

Bottled. Hazy nut brown, creamy head. Grassy and caramelly. Salty and boldly malty with hay-like hops and solid body. Good late bitterness. Similar to Fuller’s ESB, but perhaps a bit softer and fruitier.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Myrup. Very unclear amber golden with a gigantic off-white head. There’s a weak citrusy nose here. Medium-bodied with a very discreet malt base and a fairly dry hop bitterness. Is Virklund losing touch? This was another recent bland innovation. 270707

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Myrup. Hazy, pale golden with a basically absent head. Neutral aroma with a vague, citrusy note. Light in body and a bit watery. Weak vitamin-like notes. The finish is dry. Really unexciting. 270707

Bottled. An unclear beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, but also light notes of flowers. The flavor is sweet with dusty notes of hops as well as light notes of spices, but also with a slight acidity, leading to a dry spicy and slighlty acidic finish.

Black with a disappearing off-white head. Fruity aroma with caramel and toffee notes. Fruity flavour with a hint of acidity, and a burned malt aftertaste. Interesting hybrid.
