(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a hazy, orangey brown with a small, light brown head. Very malty aroma with a touch of nuts. Medium body with some roasted malts and a slightly burned touch. Rather dry - all the way through. 081006

A hazy deep red beer with a fluffy orange-brown head. The aroma is sweet and very spicy, combined with lighter notes of citrus and fruit - I find the aroma also has a sharp note. The flavor is slightly spicy and nutty with an underlying note of burnt plastic, leading to a bitter end. The body is thick in the middle, but thin in the end. I’m confused by this beer, is it English or Belgian in Strong Ale style or is it a brewing flaw that confuses me?

(Bottle 50 cl) Slightly hazy amber golden with a small, yellowish head. Very fruity and sweetish aroma. Fairly solid body with lots of fruit, sweetness and caramel - and a rather distinct alcohol. Very discreet underlying ashy edge and a somewhat raw, bitter finish. Not uninteresting but on the other hand not a very harmonious brew. 280906

Bottled. Amber colour, beige mediumsized creamy head. Fruity, a bit soapyish aroma. Flavour is fruity, malty, hoppy and a bit soapy. Also spices and caramel in flavour. The aftertaste is spicy and fruity with a weak sting of warming alcohol.

Bottled (BB 11/2006). Thanks Papsoe. Hazy amber color, small tan head. Fruity, kind of smokey aroma, plums, figs. Dark fruits - plums, some alcohol in the flavor. Some grassy hops. For my opinion - abbey dubbel -style brew.

A hazy amber beer with a bubbly off-white hea.d The aroma is quite powerful especially with notes of yeast and hops, but also with hints of berries. The flavor is sweet malty with some light notes of caramel, leading to a quite bitter end with a slight toffee note lingering - but the body is boringly thin.

A slightly hazy amber beer with a huge tan head. The aroma is sweet with a sharp citrus note, combined with more subdued notes of caramel and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, malt and toffee, quite candy like, but also with a slight burnt note, leading to a short lived bitter end, though with the candy notes lingering for some time.
