Bottle from a local bottle shop. Brew 2016/0048 Lot no 2017/0143. Aroma is vinous and malty with caramel, red wine, oak, fruity notes, toffee, dark-ish malt, a touch of fudge, grapes, dried fruits. Sweet flavour with some bitterness, body is above medium. Beautiful Red Wine BW, good complexity, vinous with grapes, very good!

From tap at Borefts 2019. Aroma is strong barrel influence with malt, white wine, herbal notes, and oak. Ripe fruit, lots of wood, some funk, vinous flavour. Sourish and sweetish. Complex and funky.

Аромат приятный, есть много цитрусовых, особенно корочка от грейпфрута очень чувствуется, есть немного горчинки от хмеля и специй с цветами. Цвет темно желтый. При открытие был легкий гашинг, так что пены много. Вкус тоже с большой цитрусовой составляющей. Много грейпфрута и апельсина. Немного цветов. При глотке есть сухость и горечь, приятный и долгий финиш травяной. В целом хорошо.

Аромат сложной но не особо сильный. Карамель, темные фрукты с оттенком шоколада. Цвет идеален, пена светло-кофейная , очень плотная и липкая. В основе вкуса черный шоколад, от чего пиво слегка горькое. Имеется оттенок кофе и жженой карамели. Пиво по вкусу дико не свойственное Бельгийскому элю. Сам напиток очень плотный, как стаут. В целом солидное пиво, но если расценивать как эль то немного странноватое.

Аромат шоколада и карамели. Цвет насыщенный, темный со средний пенкой. Вкус слегка жженый но при этом мягкий. Хорошо ощущается шоколад и немного кофе. Послевкусие кофейное с отчетливой кислинкой. В целом хороший стаут.

Bottle, apparently some 2 years old? Pours a deep brown body with a red hue. Small beige head, quickly receding. Aroma's: sourish, a bit funky, wood, tannins, light booze. Retronasal it's tannins, woody, light boozy, some dried fruit. Flavour is moderate sour with a hint of sweet. Medium bodied. Warming alcohol. Long finish, sourish, woody. Not much of a barley wine (anymore).

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is grapefruit, bretty funk, orange peel, hops, malt, ripe fruit, apricot, floral notes, nectarine, some woody tannins. Flavour is mild tart and medium bitter. Body is medium. Complex, fruity and funky. Another very fine Korenaar brew.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Nice woody aroma with vanilla from the oak, malt, softly spicy. Ripe fruits including some apricot and orange. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a mild bitterness. Body is medium and lightly creamy. Good! Finesse is very fine Tripel and this oaked mutation adds an interesting dimension to the beer.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is spicy Belgian yeast, dried fruits, oak, soft whisky, raisins, figs, caramel, malt, candy sugar. Flavour is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is above medium. Pretty smooth, lots of dried fruits, Belgian spicy/candy aromas, moderate whisky. Well done.
