Can. Very clear pale amber with an inch of white head. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, light breadcrust with some mango skin - a bit Sculpin but more subdued. Clean, sweetish with breadcrust then fruit and a peppery edge to the firmly bitter finish. Solid.

Can. Slightly unclear pale orange. A white head doesn't last at all. Aroma of brooding wheaty funk, mandarin, passionfruit, twigs. Slippery, spritzy. Quite sour upfront then fruit that's not obviously an addition before a dry and slightly spicy end. Refreshing.

Can. Opaque orange with a modest white head. 3- Very fruity aroma with lime, orange, mango, pineapple, crackers. Rather drier than I'd guessed from the aroma but still very fruity. Enough bitterness to keep it tidy at the end. A little pepper there too. Refreshing.

Can (Wines on Poath - now appears to be a bar out back there too). Clear copper with an inch of white head that fades to a lumpy coat. Aroma of toast, peaches, spice (ginger, pepper, mace). Not as light bodied as expected with sweet toasty malt, peaches and oranges building to a spiced bitter finish. Seems quite yeast driven until quite a hoppy end. Clever, involving. Shame if this really is a one off.

Can. Clear deep amber with a beige head that lasts pretty well. Aroma of sticky bread crust with brooding citrus, some tropical and stewed fruit notes, pine. And so it tastes with strong bitterness at the end. Not easy to pull this sort of thing off, but it's clean and not very sweet. So it works.

Pours black with finely beaded white head that disappears super fast. Burnt sugar and bourbon nose. Sweet to taste but with some lingering burnt toast flavours. The bourbon is very apparent but well-balanced.

Well, this is just a lot of everything. Aromas of chocolate, toast, unroasted coffee berries and some lemon lead into a taste that could be summed up as rum and raisin pudding with a chocolate sauce. Not for the feint hearted.

On tap. Classic amber colour. Piney malt nose. Nicely balanced with considerable piney resined bitterness and caramel biscuit malts. Nice to see these guys finally dabbling in the hop-led space.
