About
Independent brewery 1856-1987. Then owned by Nora/Ringnes/Orkla. Owned by Carlsberg from 2004. The new craft brewery "E.C.Dahls Bryggeri" opened August 4th 2016. In 2019, The Carlsberg Group has signed an agreement to sell the property of its brewery site in Trondheim, Norway. Not included in the deal is the brewery E.C. Dahls which remains part of the Carlsberg Group, formally owned by Feldschlösschen which in turn is owned by Carlsberg.

200ml draught at Piccadilly Pub. Clear ruby-black body, filmy layer, rings of lace down the glass. Mid-dry, roasted malty aromas, moments of earthy chocolate. Nutty cocoa- chocolate flavours, sweet and dry, lactose backbone. Ends with mid-sweet chocolate malts. Fine depth. On the sweet side, but tasty and nice. (Bodø 22.02.2023).

7-3-7-3-14 On tap @ Ferdinand, Bergen. Pours hazy yellow, with a small creamy head. Aroma is citrusy hops with orange peel and grapefruit, as tropical notes of mango and pineapples. Medium to full body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is piney hops with citrusy notes orange, grapefruit and tropical notes, as well as malts with cereals and toffee. Lingering sweetish minerals in the finish.

Fra fat på B&B: klar gylden med fint skum som varer. Oppkvikkende syrlig preg med lime, søte sicilianske citroner, pasjonsfrukt, aprikos og granateple. Slank maltkropp, floral aroma og rikelige mengder mersmak i den rene ettersmaken.

Bottle. It's a lightly hazy golden colored beer topped by a finger-thick white head. Some lacing. The aroma is fruity and lightly flowery, with resin, grapefruit and a peppery, ryeish maltyness. It's medium to full-bodied, semi-dry and with a decent bitterness. Orange zest, grapefruit, peppery hints, some grass and a touch of malts in the flavor. Medium length finish. Quite classic. Bottled (from Vinmonopolet)@AIH128. Brownish amber colour, small white head. Aroma is sugary, metallic, mild spices and some alcohol. Flavour is boozy, some sugary, metallic and grainy tones. Very thin palate, maybe remotely some cheap ass bulk Quadrupel feel to it. No.
