Huge pale beige head. Clear deep dark red body. Fruity spicy aroma with rock sugar notes. Dryish cinnamon and aniseed taste with dried fruit notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish spicy fennel and caraway seeds aftertaste with wooden coriander notes. It’s quite nice, but very spicy. The spice has been done with some subtlety, so they come out quite well in the finish, but overall it’s too much. An OK beer to sip, but not to drink. (0.33l bottle, from Meny Triaden, Lørenskog.)

A bit weird paper touch. Not my cup of saison.
Hazed pale golden color with a fine white head. Decent intensity in the aroma. Medium body and a fine carbonation level. A bit dry ending. Citric, paper, pepper and some yeast in the flavor.
[On tap at Dr. Jekyll’s Pub in Oslo, Norway]

Bottle. A clear brown beer with a small, beige head leaving lacing. The aroma is rather spiced, with fennel, caraway, cloves and some ginger. Even though not all of them are used. Caramel, roasted malt notes and some Belgian-style fruity yeastiness too. It’s medium bodied, semi-dry and a tad high on carbonation, with caramel and bread flavors in the back, and spices and some dark dried fruits up front. Rather dry finish with roasted malts and nuts. A quite nice one, but the combination of malts and spices used isn’t my preferred one. 161119

Big offwhite lasting head. Clear reddish still deep brown body. Deep, clear, clean tropical fruit aroma with spicy resiny notes. Dryish wooden resiny tropical fruit taste with chewy roasty notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, smooth mouthfeel. Dryish tropical fruit and caramel aftertaste with funky wooden notes. Very nice. Highly drinkable, but has depth and character. (0.33l bottle, from ... well, I’m not sure where from, to be honest.)

330ml on tap at Den Glade Gris. Low white head, scattered lacing, near-clear golden body. Herbal hops on the nose, hints of spices. Mid-sweet citrus flavours and herbs to the taste buds followed by a bittersweet finish lightly spiced with white pepper. Medium boded. Alright with the meat (Oslo 09.11.2016).
