About
Lervig is an independently owned and operated craft brewery located in Stavanger Norway. We produce a wide range of beers from easy-drinking pilsners and pale ales to barrel-aged stouts, barley wines, and sours.

Our goal is to brew the best beers in the world. To do that we’re constantly pushing the boundaries of brewing for everyone, both everyday folks and craft beer lovers alike. We’ve combined the experience and creativity of our brewers to bring accessible, easy drinking and trending beers to market, but we also love to work outside our comfort zone and test the limits of our team.

Today we’re focused on growth. We’re constantly brewing new beers while making sure we have a healthy supply of refreshing beers to ship throughout Norway and beyond.
Our people are what makes this brewery even more special. Within these walls you’ll find an international team bringing a global perspective to our brewing process, and working hard to make sure that we keep producing the beers that people are looking for.

Draught at Københavnske Øldage 2011. Almost clear nut brown, no head. Heavy bourbon aroma. Sweet and caramelly. The strong bourbon flavours go well with the caramelly, and seems to dry it out a little - which is needed. Mild peppery finish with fatty notes. The bourbon barreling did really good to this.

Rerate, 330 ml bottle as Lervig Brewers Reserve Rye IPA. ABV is 8.5%. Hazy orange to amber colour, moderate head, slightly off-white. Aroma and flavour characteristics are mainly the same. Original rating: On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV was said to be 7.7%. Hazy dark brown colour, creamy beige head. Lovely fruity aroma of American hops and rye. Distinctly hoppy flavour (100+ IBU) with some grapefruity notes. Very bitter finish and aftertaste. The beer is not very sweet, but there is still a tolerable malty backbone, with a hint of rye bread.

Draught at Københavnske Øldage 2011. Clear amber, mahogany colour. Fruity hoppy black currangt aroma. Medium-full bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Lots of aromatic black currant, some caramel. Long bitterness. I much prefer this hoppier Lervig Brewmasters serie beer to the maltier ones.
