Bottle sample courtesy of Theydon_Bois, cheers Colin! Amber gold colour, short-lived thin white foam head and aroma of ripe apple, juicy, some funk. Taste is sweetish, apple, tangy, orchardy funk, wood, leather, toffee & caramel hints, with bittersweet tannins. Medium bodied, light carbonation, drying tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.

Bottle at home, from Elston & Son, 11/12/22. Clear golden to light amber with a good sized (for a cider) just off white head that still retains as a swirl and edgework 10 or so minutes later. Nose is caramel, toffee apple, sugars, light orchard wood, straw. Taste comprises tangy apple, earthy, residual sugars, tannins, light farmyard edge. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, drying close. Not bad.

Bladder bag at Pigs Ear '22, day one, 29/11/22. Moderately hazed golden with a white cap that soon vanishes. Nose is tangy apples, hay bale, crisp apple skin, wooded notes. Taste comprises sharp apples, tannins, vinous, orchard wood trace. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close. Decent.
