Description
Sixpoint was founded in 2004 (we like to say it was born at the dawn of civilization, though that’s a story for another time…) in the rough and tumble neighborhood of Red Hook, BKLYN. It was essentially a cult brewery — draft-only, mysterious, cryptic…
In 2010 we released our canned creations, and have been tweaking, improving, and releasing new formulations ever since. Then in May of 2017, we took our biggest step forward to date, releasing all of our ales raw and unfiltered, and simultaneously incorporating new and incredible raw materials obtained over years of sourcing.
In November 2018, Sixpoint was acquired by Artisanal Brewing Ventures.

Pours cloudy amber with a thick white head. Aroma of grapefruit, berries, bright pineapple. Taste has lemon, more tropical notes some lush malts and tropical hints. Palate has some really fascinating malt notes, interesting mixture of tropical fruits, pineapple, effervescent resin, some rich malt. Very drinkable.

Taster at Victory. Pale, clear amber, spotty head. Aroma is winter spice blend, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice. Taste is all savory spice too, not much beer characteristics here. This too

16 oz. can from The Mansion. Pours a semi-hazy orange-gold color with a thick khaki head and great retention. Good lacing. Dominant orange citrus aroma, with some vanilla. Likewise, initially strong orange flavor with some supporting vanilla notes, followed by some hoppy bitterness and a long, warming, boozy finish. Medium body. Smooth, semi-creamy mouthfeel until the alcohol kicks in. Could be good, but it’s too strong.
