On tap at Beer for Beasts. A barleywine was a nice change of pace. Tastes of pine, caramel, figs, and berries. Bitter and sweet. Odd that these high abvs seemingly havd no effect on me, am I invisible? Tbd

Sampled at Beer for Beasts. Pours amber and tastes of mild citrus hops, some Belgian yeasts, cloves, with mild spice. My commercial descriptions lists this as 7.1% alc which is as close as I like to get to session.

Sampled at Beer for Beasts. Pours a regular brown with small head, huge aromas of coffee. Taste is like having mouth full of roasted coffee beans. Can’t get a lot more than that but nicechangeof pace.

Groler, courtesy of.....who else? yes, you guessed it, nimbleprop. Thanks! Deep golden amber color. Aroma of Butterfinger. taste is an interesting combination of chocolate and scotch. Very nice.

Draft. Pours murky brown. Tan head. Nose and taste of malt, light cocoa, bitter hops and light sprinkling of brown sugar. Medium body. Solid.

A murly dark brown stout with a thin light moka. In aroma, a nutty grassy malt with light fusel alcohol, roasted coffee beans, roasted coffee beans. OK. In mouth, a smooth nutty coffee malts, with some nice c-hops, pretty nice. Cask at Get Real NY, March 19 2011.

Hand bottle obtained in trade from Shane aka sixpoint, thanks for the opportunity. Poured a dark brown with faint ruby highlights and a huge fluffy/creamy off white head that stuck itself to everything on the way down the glass. Smells of cocoa, brown sugar, and a bit of caramel. Taste is chocolaty roasty with burnt and brown sugars in the mix. Finishes kind of dry with a touch of alcohol and bitter roast that lingers. Body is a bit on the thin side, Mouthfeel is bubbly, slightly oily, carbonation is on the high side. Decent brew overall, I would definitely session this one. I really would have liked a bit more body, but its great as is.

Sampled from the tap at EBF. Poured a clear amber brown with a near white head that lasted throughout the beer and laced slightly. Aroma had a sweet grain note with some caramel and toffee notes and just a hint of pine hops. Flavor began with sweet grains and some toffee with a decent amount of pine hops present.

Sampled from the tap at EBF. Poured a cloudy deep amber with a brown hue and near white head that lasted throughout the beer. Aroma had coffee throughout with a backing dark grain note. Flavor started with coffee and transitioned to roasted malts and dark grains in the finish.

Sampled from the tap at EBF. Poured near black with a brown head that dissipated to the edges and remained there. Aroma was full of creamy chocolate, roasted malts and a bit of a nutty note as well as coffee. Flavor had a chocolate note with a growing nuttiness and some roasted malts. Nice and creamy on tongue.
