On tap at Robertas pizza in Brooklyn. Pours a deep gold. Taste of earth and light citrus hops. Bright and crisp and when paired with possible best pizza I’ve ever had well quite the meal.

Received in trade from Shane at sixpoint, hand bottled at the brewery, thanks for the opportunity and generosity. Pours a dark brown with faint garnet highlights when held to light. Huge fluffy tan head sticks around forever and coats my glass all the way down. Smells of coffee, roasted grains and bitter dark chocolate. Tastes of coffee, chocolate, roasted grains. Creamy silky mouthfeel, medium body. medium carbonation. Another exceptional brew from sixpoint. Send your beer to NH already :)

Pours a solid dark brown with very faint red highlights when held to light. smallish tan/mocha head dissipates quickly. Smells of coffee, roasted malts, chocolate, toffee. Smells a bit sweet. Taste of chocolate, lots of dried fruit, almonds, cherry. Really a unique taste, I like it! Raspberry’s maybe too! Body is medium to thick, Mouthfeel is creamy smooth, Carbonation is ample. I loved this brew! Unique and tasty, I wish I could get more!

Received in trade from sixpoint, hand bottled at the brewery, thanks for the opportunity and generosity. Pours a cloudy pale golden color with a fluffy white head that persists forever. Lace sticks to everything in sight. Smells of clove, bubblegum, spicy yeast, citrus hops. Very sweet smelling aroma, very interesting nose. Taste is malty, hints of clove, pepper, apricot, very sweet, but not cloying. Very dry finish. Medium body, sweet sticky mouthfeel, ample carbonation. Great Belgian style IPA. I’d love to sample this again.

A lightly hazed golden blonde with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, a rather strange herbaceous catnip with light lemony notes. In mouth, a herbaceous smooth malt, herbal funky hops, oily mouthfeel, quite nice. On tap at Sunset Grill, Jan. 16 2011.

10oz cask pour, hazy, translucent brown with one ring of eggshell head. Nose is really awesome, citra hops, rye, spice, tropical fruits, clementines, perfume. Flavor is sweet, malty, light orange, basically no chocolate, some pumpernickel, light earthiness. Medium bodied, lightly bitter finish. The nose is great, the flavor is a let down.

Some bar in Williamsburg, NY pint ($6): Pours a black color with a creamy light brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, and hops. This is very bitter for a sweet stout (in fact, are not oatmeal stouts typically regarded just as normal stouts?). Good amount of hops complimented by the roasted malts. Very soft carbonation and very creamy mouthfeel work together rather well. Chocolate and coffee notes abound. A solid, easy drinking stout.

Growler from Big Z Beverage. Pours a transparent, deep gold with a thin, creamy white head. Big spicy aroma, ginger, nutmeg, sweet, brown sugar, caramel, honey, root vegetables. Flavor was big on the ginger upfront, sweet, like a sweet potato with some brown sugar, honey, nutmeg. Medium bodied, dry finish.

I honestly thought I was served the wrong beer when I got this. Clear gold with a white head. Grainy, corn, light hop aroma. Flavor is full of corn and grain with but the faintest earthy hops beneath. Dissapointed in this most BMC of offerings from Sixpoint.
