Description
Sixpoint was founded in 2004 (we like to say it was born at the dawn of civilization, though that’s a story for another time…) in the rough and tumble neighborhood of Red Hook, BKLYN. It was essentially a cult brewery — draft-only, mysterious, cryptic…

In 2010 we released our canned creations, and have been tweaking, improving, and releasing new formulations ever since. Then in May of 2017, we took our biggest step forward to date, releasing all of our ales raw and unfiltered, and simultaneously incorporating new and incredible raw materials obtained over years of sourcing.

In November 2018, Sixpoint was acquired by Artisanal Brewing Ventures.

Bright orange, fizzy but no head, no lacing. Aroma of apple cider. Taste is slightly sour, lots of malt, apples, cinnamon, like an apple pastry. Interesting.

RBWG’10 pours dark brown, tan head. aroma is fruity, malty with notable dark fruits. flavor, med-high carb, found this ne to have lost of lot of the Imp aspect. Some bitter chocolate, light caramel finish, keep a tart like dark berry finish.

Tap at Barcade. Really good beer. Super sweet all around. Pours a light red with a medium, pure white head. Nose of heavy caramel, light yeast and some sweet malts. Flavor follows similarly: notes of caramel, honey, pineapple, and fruit juice. Thick and syrupy on mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Sticky sweetness on the finish. Definitely a slow, sipping beer.

Tap at Barcade. A Hophead’s delight. This amber is supremely hopped. Aroma is dominated by bitter, earty hops with subtle notes of sweet malts. Flavor is so hoppy, it’s almost like you’re drinking grass. I loved it. Medium in body. Clean on the finish with short bitter hop aftertaste. A unique beer.
