It does what it says on the label. A fairly regular hefeweizen, banana, clove, soft, pretty sweet. Maybe a tad thinner and less soft than most German ones. The juniper and "gin herbs" add some subtle herbal notes, that luckily don't overpower.

Bottle from Albert Heijn. Poured a hazy golden colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is yeasty toffee caramel, malt, light alcohol. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a smooth, rich, toffee caramel, hay, boozy alcohol bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle from Albert Heijn. Poured a clear golden colour with a short-lived frothy white head. The aroma is malt, herbal, ginger, lemongrass. The flavour is moderate bitter with a fresh, crisp, big ginger, spicy, herbal, chamomile, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

On tap at Gebrouwen door Vrouwen, pours a cloudy dark amber orange with a small white head. Aroma is earthy, with pumpkin and light cinnamon. Flavour is actually pretty subdued, with lots of earthy notes from the pumpkin, but little actual spiciness. Fairly rich underneath if you look for it, but not very interesting.

On tap at Gebrouwen door Vrouwen, pours a hazy pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma is fairly laid back for such a high-gravity beer, with candied sugar, estery notes, and bubblegum. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of sweet candied sugar, gentle alcohol, and bubblegum. Inauthentic, sweet and estery. Poor.

On tap at Gebrouwen door Vrouwen, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Nose is laid back, with a tiny trace of strawberry, not much else. Flavour is a little fruitier, with sweet strawberries upfront. Lacking depth or complexity. Not very good.

On tap at Gebrouwen door Vrouwen, pours a hazy dark orange with a tiny head. Nose brings out the spicy star anise, light cinnamon and toasted malt. Flavour is full of cinnamon and anise upfront, with medium toasted malt. Pleasant spiciness. It's alright.

On tap at Gebrouwen door Vrouwen, pours a cloudy yellowish blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of banana, with a hint of botanicals. Flavour is sweet, with bubblegum and banana upfront, with almost no real notice of the botanicals. Lots of bubblegum and banana dominating. Not overly pleasant.

Flavour is fairly gentle, showcasing the ginger pretty well, with light sweetness. Not all that spicy, just rather tepid in the ginger character. Pleasant but unremarkable.
