Description
Welcome to the Cerddin Brewery based in Maesteg where all the beer that is produced comes from green energy. We also run our own pub called the Cross Inn, where you can find our beers on tap. If you would like to contact us regarding our beer then please fill in our contact form. The word Cerddin is Welsh for Rowan Tree, this tree is distinctive due to its bright red berry's which appear in the Autumn. It is stated in Mythology that the Rowan is magical and that it warns off spirits.

Gravicask, shared with Finn at the 24th Carmarthen Beer Festival. Near-clear amber body, spotty lacing, film-type layer. Floral hops on the nose, hints of citrus. Mixed taste of mid-sweet orange and grapefruits. Bittersweet tail. Refreshing and nice. (04.10.2018).

Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at Swansea Beer Festival 25/8/2018. Amber in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. an easy drinking bitter, with some caramel, hedgerow fruits, digestive malts and a moderately bitter finish. Ok.

Cask (gravity) @ NBF 2015 [ The 40th. Nottingham Beer Festival (The 8th Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival) ], Nottingham Castle, Friar Lane, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England NG1 6EB. [ As Cerddin Copper Hopped ].Clear medium orange amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, pale malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, pine. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, tropical fruit, citrus, fruity, orange, pale malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20151007] 7-3-7-3-13

Gravity cask at Nottingham festival 2015 with chriso, Boudicca, fonefan and Charlotte, pleasure! Slightly hazy golden yellow color. Very lemony aroma. Taste has lots of citrus.

Wakefield Beer Festival. Very dark reddy-brown with small frothy head. Has a deep roasted malt character with some sweetness involved, although a touch thin in its texture.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2013, Great British Beer Festival, London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX. [ As Cerddin Cwrw Tri ].Clear medium to dark brown color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, nutty, caramel. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, caramel, toasted, light roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130813]
