On tap at Craft Room, Zagreb. Wow, I have to admit I didn’t expect this * having neglected their FB feed due to life and all, but was thrilled to hear what it was... And it had very solid competition - the same place had Mikkeller Sort Gul on tap too, which wa drank while waiting for a beer to kick so that this could go on tap. Poured a murky dark cola body with a small off white head. MIld apricot/peach/something like that jam and aroma hops in the aroma. Some mild maltiness. Then green fruit, quite fresh hoppiness over mild milk-coffee maltiness. Feels young, again. Taste.... whoa, WHOA, superb coffee/chicory malty background, again slightly tart, vague green fruit, but a fresh blast of hoppiness nonetheless, herbal hoppiness mingling perfectly with those coffee notes. Medium bitterness - which is to say, well balanced by the maltiness. This is great. My first impression was - "the best beer ever made commercially in Croatia", the second one... well... close, but perhaps released too young, especially compared side by side to Sort Gul - the flavors are great, they really are, and well mixed, but it still feels like it was released just a tad too early. But still, this is a great recipe that with some tweaking could literally become what I’m saying. The best beer made so far and, well, probably the best beer ever made in Dalmatia if anything. :D Great job, hats off!
