Bottle @ Thisted Tasting by Maria.. Clear light yellow color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, white head. Aroma is light malty, toasted, bread, corn. Flavor is light to moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to short duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft - flat. (120408)

Clear metallic-golden beer, with small, just off-white head, rather persistent in the beginning. Warm grainy nose, whiff of citrus (lemonpeel?), very slightly spicy. Sweet, adjuncts-like grain flavour, with again slight citrussy finish (CO²?) Sounds tastier than it really is. Quite carbonated, if not visually. Light bodied, light slickness. Ho-hum lager. Or is this the lager? Bottle looks like the illustration for the golden ale, but no such mentioning on this bottle, rather a lot of Chinese characters. Here, the info says 5%, on Per’s OMH list it says 4%, and my bottle actually says >4%... Chinese puzzle?

Not bad at all, if a little skunked. Light skunk aroma with some corn. Flavor is light corn and adjuncts, but very smooth, and an unusually thick and heavy pale lager.

On can 0,355l. Thanks to ompher for this one. Ultra pale - almost yellow. No head. Spotted some malts in the aroma. Otherwise it tasted like lemonade. No bitterness.

355 ml can (courtesy of omhper), shared with Finn. Clear, pale golden body with a low-level head. Aroma of corn and citrus. Sweet citric flavour - taste like fizzy lemonade after a while. Should not remain too long in the glass. Thin palate (23.02.2007).

Can (BB 02/2007)
Clear golden color, not much head. Crisp light urea like aroma with some ashy and rubbery notes, propably not so fresh hops there. Soapy, papery malty with strange petrol notes. Not very clean brew, dissapointment as their blonde as quite good.

Canned (thanks omhper). Golden colour, minor white head. Aroma is grassy, malts and some skunked hints. Flavour is quite weird, malts and hops, but then again a "toothpasteish" sweet underlying tone all the way through.

2005 bottle (etched on the base) from Downtown Liquors, Somerville, MA. Drunk on 2/25/06. Decanting produces an initially two-finger head white head that steadily diminishes to a smattering of cover and eventually a ring. Light, peachy tinted water colored body is crystal clear with sparse bubbles rising. Initially smells of crisp lager yeast, light green apples and soft minerals. After breathing and sitting for a number of minutes, the yeast dies down somewhat and allows moderate DMS room to roam. Chickpeas, lentils, bits of cooked cabbage (though not really that strong) and a dustiness I can’t place. Flavor is full of vanilla-like dryness, some rice syrup flavors, touches of honey and tons of dirty water. Or maybe that’s just how water tastes in China, never been there. Not overly vegetal in flavor, however, but nor is it crisp. Some very light hop bitterness in the form of grassiness, mostly fleeting. Dosent smack of too quick a fermentation (though it probably wouldnt hurt to leave it for another couple weeks), but the water and DMS are bothersome, as is the extremely light body. Carbonation is quite low, not obnoxious or disruptive. No alcohol apparency. You gotta love these guys that talk about skunkiness when they are drinking it out of a can. . .

A yellow beer with a small disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet hoppy and grassy. The body is sweet malty with notes of honey, but the body is thin. An average beer.
