Cask @ 29th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2012, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England.Clear dark brown color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, light chocolate, light earthy. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, fruity, roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20121204]

Chelmsford Beer Festival. Clear deep amber beer with a good size bubbly off white head. Palate is light and a little dry. Fine carbonation. Light dry malt. Touch of generic candy fruits sweets. Semi dry finish. Not that bitter but overall okay!

Chelmsford Beer Festival. Almost clear paleish gold beer. Little white head. Palate is light and fairly dry with modest crisp carbonation. Floral malt, whisper of honey. Very modest citrus. Finishes dry and bitterish. Not bad, a bit dry but overall in good condition.

Cask gravity at Firkin Ale House Folkestone. Clear gold beer lasting thi white head. Citrusy hoppy aroma. Some sweaty sox flavour. Good swallow. That sweaty sox comes back on the finish. Decent but not quite my thing.

The Sun Inn, Kelvedon. Summer Beer Fest. Clear gold beer, little pale cream coloured head. Smooth palate with fine carbonation. Floral tangerine with a touch of lime. The description made me look for vanilla and I found a little! Finishes smooth with mellow bitterness. Well integrated and tasty.

Cask@Market Porter, London. Amber colour with a thin creamy off-white head. Aroma is nutty, wooden, resiny and also has some raisin like sweetness. Flavour is wood, resin, caramel, zest, some floral and earthy notes as well.

Old Fountain. Cask. Clear amber beer, little off white head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Moderate carbonation. The malts are a lot darker in character than you would expect from a beer of this colour. A distinct coffee flavour with mild roast. Back end has nicely judged juicy hops - orange and a touch of lemon. Subtle tropical fruits. Semi dry finish. Off the beaten track and pretty tasty!

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 7/5/2013. Pale amber with a slight white head. Plenty of citrus fruit, a touch of zingy lemon, crisp malts and a dryish finish. A good beer.

Cask at The Doric Arch in London. Pours amber with a white head. Aroma is very citrus (citra was on the pump badge). Med body. Flavor is citrus and fruity over caramel. Hoppy for the UK, not to compare to US highly hopped citra based ales.Very impressive for the ABV. Finishes with a pleasant bitter bite.
