Cask gravity at Haddenham Beer Festival, Haddenham, Bucks, 05-07-08 Pours amber in colour, malty on the nose. Lovely well done bitter, caramel, woodiness even a slight perfumeyness, its simple but its lovely, towards the end I get some sweet vannila as well, really nice beer.

Cask at the Wenlock Arms, Lahndan tahn, 20-06-08 in the marvellous company of Ian, Mes, Duff, Ang and Loz Not the most stunning selection of beers on this evening in this lovely street corner pub but still compared to what a night out in Bicester would offer me it was more than good enough. The beer looked pretty decent light to mid gold with some fruitiness on the nose. There was a fuzzy sort of bitterness in the mouth but this was soon enveloped by the sweetness, bitterness did doggedly cling to the roof of mouth, its tangy, fruity and fine without being that exciting.

Cask gravity at Cambridge BF 08. Copper with thin beige head. Good condition. Aroma of toffee. A little biscuity in mouth, more toffee in swallow and then a dryish herbyish hop finish. Decent best bitter, very drinkable, could see me doing a session on it. Nothing flash, not overly mlaty. Does everything well.
