Description
Our brewery is housed in a purpose built extension at the rear of The Volunteer Inn in Seavington Somerset. The innovative 4 bbl brewery consist of a Hot Liquor tank, Mash tun and Copper all mounted on a stainless steel frame to maintain cleanliness. We use malt from East Anglia and our hops are supplied by Charles Farams. As a small brewer we use dried yeasts this is to make sure we have consistent beer.

Pigs Ear. Hazy amber beer with a small suddy white head. Palate is light and dry. Light citrus - marmalade and lemon. Good start but then soap flavours really buggers things up. Bleh! Dry finish.

Gravity cask at the Pigs Ear 2012, London. Pours clear brown with a fine, beige cream head. Dark, tangy fruits in the nose. Light sweet flavor, tangy dark fruits. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Semi-dark malt finish, mild wet earth, hints of tangy berries. The beer seems to be in fairly poor shape.

Cask-conditioned at the Green Man, Bristol 11/10/2012. Deep gold with a slight, lacy white head. Aroma of orange blossoms, pineapple and mango. Solid, biscuit malt flavours, with plenty more fruit and a lingering dry finish. Very drinkable.
