Cask at Pigs Ear 2018 - London. Day 1. Pours black-brown with a creamy beige head. Eh, not the best, not very cohesive. Some chalky cocoa, scorched earth, hints of orange rind. Medium bodied, silky, with fine carbonation. Some dry and ashy roast in the finish. So so.

Pigs Ear. Cask. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Mellow dark malts, slightly bitterish and thin dark malts. Tangy bitterish floral orange. Mild spice. Light finish. Okay, had many better.

Can from Tesco. Pours clear pale gold with a thin white head. Aromas of light tropical fruit and citrus. Taste is fruity, faint malt sweetness. Watery finish.

Can from Tesco, Brooklands. Floral and resin aroma. With some malts. Somewhat low key. Copper gold. Thin translucent white head. Very light bitter. Some sweetness there too. Watered down citrus. Light-medium bodiedm slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Abrupt dry finish. An APA at it's most basic. Extremely sessionable by virtue of being so tuned down it only just registers.

Can from Tesco, Brooklands. Floral and resin aroma with a large dose of malts. Slightly hazy amber-copper. Thick fluffy off-white head. It foamed everywhere when I opened the can. Light-medium bitter with some citrus fruitiness. As per the aroma there's also a lot of malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick if watery. After the gushing opening was expecting more than soft-flat carbonation. Long dry finish. An almost medicinal edge to the aftertaste. OK IPA, FYI.
