Barnes & Co., a brewers dating back to 1800, in 1906 this family owned brewery survived until they were taken over by Hall & Woodhouse in Spring 2000, with all production at Horsham ceasing. That’ll be me 20K then @ ChrisO’s. Thanks to Leighton. Clear amber beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Palate is light, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Slightly oxidised tasting malts, sweetish caramel. A little dried fruits and crystallised fruits and a mild savoury vibe. Light spicy finish. Old but okay for me.

Bottle shared at Kenny’s 20K tasting - London. I brought this one . Pours clear ruby with a bubbly white head. The nose suggests significant oxidation, with other notes of toffee and lightly tangy berries. Medium sweet flavour, a little metallic, oddly bitter, with more oxidation, dried fruits. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Finishes with notes of leathery fruits, metal, oxidation, moderate tartness. This one has not aged well. Eh.
