500ml (says, 330ml, lol) (thx, Matt!) @ Matt's. Appearance: cloudy purple with a weak rose head. Aroma: barrel, lots of grapes, some funk. Taste: long the same lines, moderately acidic, quite much of barrel, some creamy notes from the barrel. Overall: pretty pleasant.

Sort of a reddish-brown colour, hazy, no head. The nose has a fair bit of phenols, but they seem to have blown off. That leaves a vinous note and some yeastiness. On the palate, it's got a lot of tannins, it's vinous, some grapey sweetness, and a hit of alcohol in the finish. Good character, I like the vinous depth here.

500mL bottle (labels says 330mL, but that's clearly wrong), pours a dark reddish mahogany with a tiny white head. Aroma brings out lots of red grape skins, red wine tannins, and some buggy notes. Flavour is quite tannic and vinous, with lots of red wine barrels, lots of oak, lots of bugs, and a little alcohol. Low acidity, quite tannic, oaky, vinous and somewhat boozy. Very nicely done.

Cloudy copper maroon with a small white head. Nice funk and some red grape. Soured red grape and a nice tart note. Light and easy.

On tap at Arizona Wilderness DTPHX, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out intense boozy bourbon barrels, perfumey notes, chocolate and lactose — very odd. Flavour is intense on the bourbon barrels — the perfume is a bit too full-on — with chocolate and lactose full-on. Perfumey, bourbony, chocolatey finish. It's too hot / perfumey but it's still good.

On tap at Arizona Wilderness DTPHX, pours an opaque muddled yellow with a small white head. Aroma is dank and chalky, with pot-like hops, muddled chalkiness and some booze. Flavour has better clarity, with dank hops, some floral notes, light alcohol, and medium sweetness to balance. The sweetness helps keep things in check. There's a fair bit of chalk / muddled character to this, but it comes together reasonably well. Good.

On tap at Arizona Wilderness DTPHX, pours a cloudy bright yellowish blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out moderately dank hops, floral notes, some stone fruit. Flavour is somewhat chalky, with gentle dank hops, citrus and just enough malt backbone. It's floury and oaty, with a bit dustier of a body than I want, but it's still decent.
