New Bristol Brewery is our attempt to bring people together over great beer. We believe that We have a Love of real ale and Love what we do. We don’t see ourselves as maverick brewers, but we do like to tease the boundaries of traditional brewing.

On tap at the brewery in St Paul's, Bristol, December 2023. Near black in colour, with a slight , beige, head. Plenty of flaked coconut, vanilla oak, chocolate fondant, with some robust liquorice, toasty malts. The finish was rich and this beer was excellent.

440ml can at the Wrekin Inn, on 11th August 2024. Slight haze in the golden body, weak white affair on top. Citrus front with a semi-sweet vanilla finish, I found it interesting and enjoyable.

Keg pint on 9th August 2024, Pheasant Inn and Brewhouse. Mostly clear golden body, white stuff on top. Another citrussy IPA, it's fine but I'm getting bored with them.

440ml can bought as part of a delivery from Elusive Brewery and drunk at home. Neon peach/orange colour, hazy with almost no head. Big dollop of toffee obscures the notes of apricot and fresh mango on the nose. Tastes sweet with some mango sourness and more fruity toffee. Thick body, medium carbonation. Really good.

440ml can @ 6.5%. Poured almost black in colour with little life. The aroma is roasty malt, big coconut. The flavour is moderate liquorice bitter, light sweet, with a somewhat smooth, rich, roasty, coconut, chocolate, light boozy, light floral, liquorice bitter palate and a light oily mouthfeel. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Just one month before the best before date and it seems like the character of the beer has changed significantly since it was canned. No real sweetness or vanilla at all.

Cask at The Star & Garter, Bromley. Copper coloured pour with a beige head. Nose is toffee, orchard fruits. Same in the taste. Could be a younger brother of Fuller's ESB, drinks just as well too. Malty sweet, lightly bitter finish. Good stuff.
