Draught @ the brewpub. Pours clear amber with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of malt, with notes of yeast and touches of hops. Sweetish, malty flavour, complemented hy bitter, hoppy notes and pronounced estery touches. Mild, bitter and estery aftertaste. Creamy mouthfeel. Not bad but the bitterness of alcohol is not hidden sufficiently.

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours hazy dark copper brown with airy beige head. Clear aroma of malt, bread and caramel. Bitter and dusty flavour of roasted malt and hops, with subtle sweetish notes of yeast. Mild, estery aftertaste. Very soft carbonation. Easily drinkable but I have tasted better beers of this style.

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours slightly hazy light copper brown with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of yeast and caramel malt, with touches of butter. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt, with fruity and estery notes. Bittersweet aftertaste of hops and yeast. Discernible alcohol presence. Easily drinkable and rather round. A decent Maibock but would be better without the buttery notes.

1l-bottle, looks really good. Beer in the glass not very zippy, creamy head. Starts mild, dry-malty, grasy-hoppy notes, a bit sourish. Hoppy notes are quite unbalanced, so the beer is not very drinkable. Finish still unbalanced. Nothing special.

1l-bottle, looks really good. Beer in the glass deep black, nice head. Starts intense malty, modest dry, fine smokey notes, hints of bacon. Strong-malty finish, dry background, salty hints. A great schwarzbier!

Draught, 5.3% at the brewpub. The aroma seems spicy, even smoked. Cloudy yellow colour. OK white head. The flavour is nicely citric, a good lemon note. Rather high bitterness, but OK. More refreshing than the banana/clove type of wheat beer.
