16 ounce can. Medium yellow, gold pour. Large, dense, rocky beige head. Spotty lacing. Bready malt aroma has earthy, herbal hop notes. Flavor follows nose. Bready malt backbone leads to a crisp, spicy hoppiness that offers tremendous balance. Hints of cut grass and lemon pith on the backend. Tasty.

Pour slightly hazed gold into a stein. Bright white head with excellent retention soaps and craters as it recedes leaving gloppy lacing. Sweet straw and grass aromas. Crisp with sweet caramel, hay and biscuit front to back. Lasting dry earthy mild pith finish.

19.2 oz can from Bottle King, Morris Plains, NJ. Drank from the can on the car rental shuttle bus. Tastes more like a pale ale or an India pale lager versus a pilsner. Smooth, but very hoppy and bitter for a pilsner. Much hoppier than the 25 IBUs would suggest. Not a fan.
