Description

On tap @ Kick. Unclear brown body with a small beige head. Strong and good aroma with malt, caramel and lots of dry fruit, some vinous alcohol like Port. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, brown sugar, dry fruit, balanced bitterness and warming alcohol. Fine body and long aftertaste. Nice, pretty solid and actually surprisingly easy to drink. Very nice.

On tap @ Kick. Black body with a good looking, dense beige head. Really nice aroma with roasted dark malt, expresso coffee and dark chocolate. Flavor is smooth, sweet, dark roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate and moderate bitterness. Fine balanced flavor and body, good aftertaste. Surprisingly well balanced for this low ABV. A great stout it is.

Flaske delt på RBHD-samlinga hos Asle Bjørn: fint men kort skum. Lett krydret aroma.Snev av banan? Mer som en hefeweixen gone bad. Sur uten å være god.

On tap, at Kristiansand Ølfestival. An unclear, dark brown beer topped by a two-finger beige head. The aroma has a smooth sourish touch, with berries, chocolate, some nutty hints and spices. Faintly forest-ish. It’s smooth on the palate, with a solid body for the strength, and a nice carbonation. Some funky, sour flavors, with chocolate, berries and a spiced touch. Lasting finish. A wonderfully balanced sour beer that is as much on the spiced side as on the sour side. Both very subtle. 140823

On tap, at Kristiansand Ølfestival. An unclear, brown beer topped by a dense, beige head of two-finger size. Caramel, some bread, nuts, hints of dried fruits and some alcohol in the aroma. It’s sweet in the flavor, but far from too sweet, and it’s balanced by the bitterness. Caramel, nut notes and some bready hints in the flavor, which lasts for a good while. Full body, lightly warming and with a nice carbonation level. Lasting finish, mostly on the malty side. Overall, sure a nice first attempt on a strong beer, although I’d like it a tad dried. 140823
