12 oz bottle from HyVee, Ankeny. Fizzy head over a golden light lager body. Smell is kind of strong with corn adjunct, though. Taste does have some tangy bitterness from German hops that matches the Helles style. Still has a fusel taste of corn, or maybe oxidation. Decent summer beer, though. I know it's a hard style to do right on a small scale.

From a 12 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy straw with a thick off white head. Aroma is fruity and herbal. Flavors bitter tropical fruit and citrus. Good stuff.

4 oz. draft at Iowa TapRoom, Des Moines, IA. Aroma is caramel, bready malts, mild toffee, earthy hops as well. Taste is caramel, bready, grainy, earthy, bread backbone. Smoother mouth feel, maybe a tad thin, but works out ok.

4 oz. draft at Iowa TapRoom, Des Moines, IA. Very fruity aroma of grapefruit, mango, mixed citrus. Flavor is comparable to the nose, with grapefruit, light tropical fruits, and a mild biscuit backbone. Bitterness and body is medium. Overall, right as it should be.

12 ounce bottle. Dark brown, large foamy brown head, good retention. Aroma of roasted malt, strong coffee, a bit of cherry. The taste is dark cherry, chocolate, coffee, roast. Medium bodied, high carbonation. A bit astringent. Decent.

12 oz botttle from HyVee in Council Bluffs. No bottling date or expiration date anywhere on the bottle. Clear amber with fast dying head. Aroma is dirty grain, sweaty socks, and slight off yeast. Yup, the sat at the supermarket entirely too long. Taste like dirty socks and muddy river water.

Very thin and watery with a light smoked malt aftertaste. Might have been good if it wasn’t a lager base. Just a tad too thin.
