Originally brewed in the village of Goose Eye, Keighley West Yorkshire, using traditional brewing methods with only the best quality malt and hops, the family run Goose Eye Brewery has been providing its loyal customers since 1991 with fine traditional ales that it strives to create.

From cask. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is yoguhrt, toasted malty. Apples. Bitter, herbal, toasted malty and dry. Herbal and dry finish, light sourish note.

Cask @ GBBF 2014. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel bitter flavor. Has a fruity malty caramel hoppy finish.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 9/10/2014. Deep gold with a slight, white, head. Big, citrus fruit notes, some grassy hops, a touch of biscuit and dryish finish. Good.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 6/10/2014. Deep gold in colour, with next to no head. Sweetish, citrus fruits, some cereal malts and an astringent, bitter, finish. Ok.

Keighley Beer Festival 2014. Clear gold with a small head. Has a malt-hop, but mainly hoppy character with a fair bitterness and a small dry hop aftertaste.

Cask at GBBF ’14, day 1, 12/08/14. Clear golden/light amber with little in the way of a head. Nose is toffee, light vanilla, ripe fruit notes. Taste comprises tangy fruit, caramel, straw. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. Whelming stuff but adequate for the style.

Cask @ Jubilee Refreshment Rooms, Sowerby Bridge. Clear golden-yellow with a small bubbly head. Has small tangy fruit notes, more so in nose than taste, which has a bushy floral bitterness.

Cask @ Old Silent Inn, Stanbury. Golden-orange with a small creamy head. Has light English fruit tastes. It’s a similar style and taste to one of their signature brews but this one is significantly lower in strength.
