Sample from bottle at ASKO-messe, as Balholm Handverkcider av eple. ABV is 4.7%. Extremely pale colour, nearly like water. Nice apple aroma. Fresh and medium sweet apple flavour.

Bottle. It’s a llightly hazy golden beer with some white bubbles on top. Lightly funky, in a good way, with apples and apple cores. Too much yeast. It’s medium to full-bodied, dry and with a nice carbonation. Some yeast in the flavor too, it’s lightly tart, with apples, some grass and a funky hint. All lasting for a while. Too yeasty this one, but sure decent. 160504

500 ml bottle, as Balholm Handverk Cider Økologisk, from Vinmonopolet Kvadrat. ABV is 6%. Golden colour, pours very sparkling with the largest white head I’ve seen in any cider - and it takes quite a while to disappear completely. Aroma of cider apples, perfume, sulphur and smelly socks. Dry flavour, light bodied for a 6% cider, but fairly crisp and refreshing. Not a cider I’ll spend money on again, though.

Taste is dry fruity, apple peel, flowers, hay, grass, dry apples, minerals, fruit stones, weeds, hints of citrus peel. Medium to longlasting bitterness, dry fruity mouthfeel. Fair enough.
