500ml bottle from Waitrose. Gold with a large loose off-white head; caramel aroma; malty with some fruit but little bitterness; leaving a sticky unappealling finish. There are much better organic ales than this.

Bottled. Golden colour, very lightly hazy golden, firm head.Orangey nose. Medium sweet and lightly fruity with light bready malt. Some unpleasant boiled vegetables lure underneath a thim blanket or grassy, orangey hops. Vairly clean mouthfeel. The finish has a slight metallic edge, some sticky sweet orange marmelade and some light salty bitterness. Industrial and dull.

bottle Deep golden with a slight haze. Low but firm head. Leafy hops on the nose with notes of oranges. Flavour is biscuits followed by a grassy bitterness. Somewhat watery. An OK session beer.

Bottle from Waitrose, Thame, Oxon, 27-07-07 Poured more golden than I was expecting, sweet pears, some nice oakiness, dry towards end, quite tasty but a bit too sweet and also quite heavily carbonated, less is more!

50 cL bottle. Labeled as English Ale, rather than just ale. It’s got that nifty English malt aroma that just doesn’t pop up on this side of the pond. Hazy light amber color with a white head that left. Thin to medium bodied. Nearly creamy carbonation. The flavor is spicey caramel with balancing hop. Tingles the mouth. The finish is almost dry, residual malt notes, and spicy/floral hop. Really very tasty.

Bottled (BB 01/2008)
Clear amber brown color, small white head. Light yeasty, bready and hoppy aroma. Bready malty, slightly yeasty with late bitterness from English hops. Maybe ok as a session beer, but could be more powerful. The best part of this is propably stylish bottle, it is not par with beer itself.

Bottle: Poured a deep slightly cloudy amber ale with a nice foamy head with average retention. Aroma of fresh English hops is quite interesting with nice dose of light caramel malt. Taste is quite dry with some English hops coming out quite clearly with a nice base of English caramel malt. Body is full for the style with some adequate carbonation.
