500ml bottle from Waitrose. Dark wheat beer, dirty brown with hints of amber. Lasting head. Yeasty/cereal/lemon/bubblegum aroma with some banana. More cereal in mouth (oats) with a malty/lemon/bubblegum finish. Bit weird but I quite liked it.

(Bottle 50 cl) Beautiful, clear, reddish amber with a creamy, off-white head. Malty nose with accents of spices and nuts. Good, full body with lots of roasted malt, caramel, fruit nuts and again some spicy accents, albeit I believe none are added. Maybe the oats and rye are responsible for breaking the traditional English malt profile adding a spicy edge. Quite lovely. 260106

An amber beer with a huge orange head. The aroma is sweet with a strong hop presence, but from a boring hop sort. The flavor is sweet with a strong caramel note, but also a slight pebery note, leading to a dry hoppy end - again not a favorit hop of mine.

Hazy amber ale with a thin white head. Strong caramel aroma with light hops in finish, fruity. Rich malty taste, rather strong butterscotch in mouth, biscuitty. Rather plain in mouth, medium bodied. Bought at Waitrose, London, Feb. 2005. Shared with Chris, and Mike, November, 2005.

Pour is a cloudy brown with a small white head. Aroma is a touch of malts with a nice hop quality to it. Flavor is even better. Very bready malts with a nice mix of hops used. Finshes with just enough bitterness to make this one above par. Worth looking for.

Now laballed "Organic English Ale" or at least I figure this is the same beer. Its definitely an ESB. And a fairly nice bottled example at that. Nose is straiight up caramel with a flutter of orange blossom and grassy hops. Well balanced flavor, with earthy caramel malts, grassy, dusty, almost cobwebby hops. Medium bitter finish is perfectly integrated, just the right bittering levels. Just an easy drinking ale with character.

500ml bottle from Waitrose. Chestnut colourwith thin tight beige head. Good rich malt nose with grapefruit citrus hop. Also has toffee and candy sugar. OK in mouth with more coffee, toffee, candy sugar then good strong citrus hop. Quite a good winter ale

500ml bottle from Waitrose. Slightly hazy copper/orange with thin disappearing white head Earthy hops and grapefruit aroma. Mouth is soft and a bit nothing really leading to finish that has more grapefruit, touch of acid and some faint dryness. Just needs more flavour overall and more body in mouth
