Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from Ocado. Pours crystal clear gold with a small, foamy white head. Simple, faintly doughy pale bread in the nose, a little hay, subtle English yeast. Lightly sweet with more simple pale malt character, low bitterness, some biscuits, straw. Light bodied with average carbonation. More pale bread in the finish, light husky pale grains, hay, faint yeast. Enjoyable but basic.

500ml bottle from a motorway service station Waitrose. Pours clear pale gold, aroma very light apple fruit. Quite a bright, sparkling fruity medium character with some pleasant floral notes. Generally clean tasting with soft fleshy fruit & very mild bitter tannic bite. Decent.

Waitrose Duchy Originals Organic Old Ruby Ale 1905. Bottle from Victa Belvedere in Split, shared with heavy. Clear dark amber body with a thick fluffy off white head. Dry malty aroma with some peppery herbal notes. Dry, light dusty/herbal taste, light, very light caramel, dry and soft. Vague plum note, vague vegetal touch. Meh. Like most of these, a tick I have no interest in revisiting any time soon.
