Can to becher glass.
Appearance: semi-murky amber/red color with a two finger white foamy head which slid off at a nice pace to leave some light lace
Aroma: grapefruity hoppiness up front with some light piney and earthy hops underneath; light caramel/toffee malts underneath
Flavor: bittersweet through the balancing of the prior noted aromas; mild aftertaste of grapefruity hoppy tones
Texture: light to medium bodied with a fair sessionability; some hoppy abrasiveness but nothing overbearing; finishes semi-crisp with some smooth hoppy notes
Overall: pretty good for what it is, I believe it does the trick.

Can to snifter.
Appearance: black in color, one finger eggshell white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: dark & roasty vibes through toasty malts, light coffee, dark chocolate, milk chocolate and red raspberries
Flavor: mildly sweet through the prior mentioned aromas and a touch of tart with the red raspberries; mild raspberry to chocolatey aftertaste
Texture: medium bodied, good sipper, some raspberry tartness hits my tongue; finishes blending the raspberry to the chocolate
Overall: nicely done imperial porter with raspberries, I'd have again.

Can to becher glass.
Appearance: brown in color, eggshell white foamy head then dissipated nicely leaving some lace
Aroma: seemed like the smell of a brown ale (i.e. nutty, malty, toasty) then the cinnamon & ginger then a super light tone of oranges further underneath
Flavor: cinnamon, roasty, toasty, sweet, ginger spicy; mild roasty & ginger spicy aftertaste
Texture: light to medium bodied, between sessionable and being a sipper; some ginger harshness hitting my tongue but nothing overbearing; finishes with the ginger & cinnamon and some roastiness
Overall: I see it as a nice Winter Warmer I'd be willing to come back to.

Canned 12/10/24, drunk 5/23/25, compliments of tfontana. Thanks, Tom!
Dark, clear. Medium-sized, dark beige head.
Lovely fresh yeast and mineral. Fragrant fresh herbs and a soft kiss of darker malts not overdone. Delicate and aromatic, clean.
Chocolatey, a touch roasty with licorice and earth. Odd how different the nose is from the flavor. Just a bit too much specialty malt here, though it's not thin or undermalted. Crazy that you don't get any licorice or dark chocolate in the nose but there's quite a bit of it in the flavor. Clean and well-attenuated nonetheless. Would definitely check Druthers out after trying this. That aroma is stupendous!

Can from the brewery in Saratoga Springs. Lightly hazy maple-syrup brown with nice sparkle, thin head, fading to a ring fairly quickly w/trace lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malt, molasses. Taste follows aroma. Smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation, dry finish as taste. Good representative of the style with strong aroma and flavor.

Can at Saratoga Springs brewery. Opaque dark brown with thin cap of head, poor retention and light lacing. Aroma is fairly subtle roasted malt, dark chocolate. Taste is strong roasted malt, oats, over late chocolate. Smooth, frothy texture, medium body, average to lively carbonation, roasted bitter finish. Didn’t get coffee. Neither terribly strong nor complex. Nothing bad about it though.

6 oz. pour on draft as part of a flight at the brewery, Saratoga Springs. Clear amber, nice sparkle and head, good retention and trace lacing. Aroma is biscuit and mild caramel. Taste is strong bread with hint of fruit, light caramel. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Not a standout Scottish Ale. OK.
